LIFE ON WHEELS
... is a band from Munich which combines the joy of life and sound from Balkan with hard rock and danceable grooves. The expressive lyrics are presented in English and Bosnian language. All songs and arrangements are written by the band - Life On Wheels does not make covers! If somebody is looking for a show act with high energy and special charisma, she / he will find it with this band.
The setlists of the band and the character of the songs is very much diversified: Sometimes hard rock, sometimes Balkan ballads with guaranteed goosebumps. All this music is spiced with lyrics that make you think. As rich in sound and as varied as the roots of Life On Wheels' music are the musicians, all of whom had previously collected experiences at various musical styles. The band members have done everything from Blues and Soul to Jazzrock and Metal in the past. The frontline is formed by the two Bosnian guitarists Ernest and Haris, who heat up the audience. The rhythm section is the responsibility of the two Germans Hannes and Michael, who make sure that the songs start and stop on time.
After founding the band in October 2015, the four musicians started their first live concerts in 2016. In October 2017 the studio recordings for the first studio album "Help Yourself" started. The album was finished in August 2018 and released on the 8th September 2018.
Inspired by a spontaneous guest appearance of the violinist Monique Sonnenschein at a gig in the Eventhalle Ingolstadt, the collaboration with this extraordinary artist began in January 2019. Shortly afterwards she became a permanent band member.
Not even the corona crisis could stop Life On Wheels. In spring 2020 the band released a series of "living room concerts", all of which can still be streamed.
Starting in July of that year they went back into the studio - the new album "Star Rover" got released in May 2021. In July 2022 the band released the single "Lost and Found" as announcement for the upcoming record.
